AUTOMATED DESIGN OF STEEL BUILDINGS
LOADING
GENERATION
- Ameco
computes member dead weights and revises them as sizes change
- Accepts input of floor/roof
loads per unit area
- Computes
dimensions of contributing floor area for each beam, joint,
truss and wall. Uses these dimensions to compute dead and
live loads on the members with trapezoidal, linearly varying
or uniform distribution.
- Accepts
input of predetermined dead and live loads as uniform, partial
uniform, linearly varying and concentrated loads
- Generates as many gravity
live load cases as there are floor members
- Generates live load patterns
for beams, joists, trusses, wall and columns
- Computes
live load reduction factors for columns, beams, trusses,
walls
- Moves vehicle and overhead
cranes over prescribed area
- Computes wall areas and
wind loads on building, based on specified wind speed or
pressure and building code
- Computes masses and centroids
of masses
- Computes seismic forces
and applies these with code specified eccentricities
- Accepts input of precomputed
forces for lateral dead, live, wind and earthquake loadings
- Generates
critical loading combinations for gravity dead and live
loads, vehicle and overhead crane loads, earth pressure,
out-of-plumb effects, wind and seismic loads and foundation
settlements
