AUTOMATED DESIGN OF CONCRETE BUILDINGS

AMECO-17 CONCRETE provides an environment for designing an entire concrete building as a whole 3-D unit subjected to gravity loads, wind and earthquake motions. No special hardware is required to run the Ameco-17 software--even an Intel Pentium family computer will suffice--for designing buildings of any size. Graphical displays of the structure can be obtained.

AMECO-17 CONCRETE is a multi-cycle design system. As shown in the figure below, the entire analysis-design process is computerized, whereby structural modeling, loading generation, structural analysis and member proportioning are integrated into a continuous, iterative operation. The cycling process is repeated until the minimum cost structure is produced or until the engineer stops the cycling.
